It's almost over

I'm mentally exhausted and almost want to forget about it all. I've been working in the campaign office, making calls, canvassing and taking part in the democratic process. Tomorrow, I'm a Registration Officer, entrusted by the Canadian electors. What have we learned from it
all? We need to stop treating Canadians like they're gullible idiots who can only make a decision based on what they see on t.v. I hate
negative ads, regardless of the party who endorses them. Soundbites should not make or break an election. I want to wish my fellow bloggers an extended hand of congratulations for a well-fought campaign. I wish you the best of luck in whatever campaign you are helping with, or even if you just have a vested interest in the process. Let's hope that friendships can be mended
as of Tuesday. Here's to a prosperous (and youth-friendly) Canadian future. (And, no, that wasn't an ivitation for Conservative soundbites and propaganda in a rebuttal.)

Well, it can be mentally and physically exhausting to be part of a losing campaign that resorts to desperation- It's funny that Liberal campaign officials must place Liberal lawn signs in front of the Bev Oda Campaign Office. Personally, I think it would be appropriate to see a personal apology from Mr. Moffatt for his latest desperate attempt at a chance for the Durham seat, which he will not win. Stephen Harper is the next Prime Minister of Canada, Paul Martin is extinct. The Liberals are set to become the opposition, and the opposition for thirteen years is the next government of Canada. I stood up for Canada, and the people have listened, and in 8 hours, will speak. Bye Paul!

I don't believe the Tories ran a clean, positive campaign. The message was to intimidate voters into thinking that unless you want you money stolen from bloated buraucrats, you better vote Conservative, the only party which can stand up to corruption, violence and bribery. Ha! I've already discussed how money will follow power regardless of the party and that in bureacracy, mistakes can happen. Well good luck to Mr. Harper. I was going to offer a hand of congratulations to my Conservative bloggers this morning for their victory. Now I'm pissed off that some of them are just sore winners. How dare you accuse Mr. Moffatt of desperate, dirty campaigning when Doug Moffatt signs were being ripped from the ground on a daily basis. I'm not upset Canada has a Conservative minority under Harper, I'm upset that the Canadian electorate were foolish enough to listen to the complaining, the tactics, the soundbites that swung their vote that way. Canada got exactly what it wanted. And now we must live with that choice for however long it will endure.

Canada will live with the choice Laura, and you can be as sore of a loser as you would like. What about Doug being on CKDO 1350 and accussing Bev of spinning stories in her favour through media connections? What's that? Desperation.

You can believe whatever the hell you want Laura. Your thoughts, beliefs and so forth mean squat to me. I'm sure your bitching and whining would have been different if the moronic Liberal Party had have won the election. It's also interesting to note the margin of victory in which Bev was re-elected. Looks good on you. How'd the Peterborough seat go? Right, you lost there too. Good job.
